When riding your Evader Motor Scooter be sure to ride safely, respectfully and within the limits of the law and your abilities. Always wear a helmet, proper eyewear and protective clothing and insist your passenger does too. Never ride while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Know your Evader® and read and understand your owner’s manual from cover to cover.

Your Evader motor Driven Cycle is DOT compliant and therefore street legal. Persons riding Evader scooters have the same rights and duties as drivers of motor vehicles. Scooter riders will receive citations for traffic violations. Your Evader scooter is Classified as a "Motor driven cycle" or "Motor Scooter".

GENERAL RULE OF THUMB FOR MOTOR SCOOTERS

1. You must be 16 years of age or older to operate a Scooter on a public road.
2. Operators of a Scooter must have the minimum of a class E license.(driver's license)
3. No motorcycle endorsement is required.
4. Scooter must be registered annually and a tag purchased.
5. Scooter may not be operated on bicycle paths or footpaths.

Please remember that even though the rule of thumb may be the laws in your state, there are many cases in which they are not. We suggest that you do your own do diligence in this matter. When searching, remember that your Evader is classified as a "motor driven cycle" or "Motor Scooter" and all models are under 50cc and have less than two horsepower.
